The Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Wisconsin (EFSEW) is the only agency specifically organized to serve the diverse and special needs of the 30,000 persons with seizure disorders in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha, and Washington counties. An additional 100,000 family members may also require epilepsy related services.
Over 2,500,000 people in the U.S. have epilepsy. A large number of children have undetected or untreated epilepsy. Over 180,000 newly diagnosed cases are reported each year in the United States (over 493 new cases per day). Epilepsy can effect anyone at any age, at any time.
EFSEW is an organization dedicated to the prevention and control of epilepsy and its consequences. The Foundation assists persons with epilepsy, their families and other interested individuals to overcome the problems associated with the seizure disorder so everyone with epilepsy can live a full and active life as productive, self-confident, independent and accepted members of society.
The services and programs of the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Wisconsin directly assist individuals affected by epilepsy and their families. EFSEW also conducts many education programs to increase public awareness and understanding, assist professionals in helping those affected by seizure disorders, and to aid in the prevention of epilepsy.

Most people are aware of the difficulties involved with job search as a result of today’s reduced market. If clients have questions about their resumes, experience anxiety at the thought of interviewing, or simply have general questions about available resources, we can help! The Epilepsy Foundation is pleased to announce additional help in the areas of job search, resume consultation, aide in utilizing on-line career databases, and mock interviewing. Any interested clients residing within Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington counties can set up an appointment and visit us at our downtown Milwaukee office. Searching for a new career can be overwhelming and sometimes a bit scary without support from others. Please let us take some of the pressure off and aide you on this important journey.
